Refund Policy

1. Overview

This Refund Policy outlines the terms under which Unyrise Technologies ("we," "our," or "us") provides refunds for our software development services and SaaS products. We are committed to client satisfaction and believe in fair and transparent billing practices.

By engaging our services or purchasing access to any of our products, you agree to this Refund Policy. Please read it carefully before proceeding.

2. Custom Software Development Services

Due to the bespoke and time-intensive nature of custom software development, our refund policy is structured as follows:

Initial Deposit

The initial project deposit (typically 30-50% of the project total) is non-refundable. This deposit covers project planning, architecture design, resource allocation, and early development work.

Milestone Payments

  • If a milestone has been completed and delivered, the payment for that milestone is non-refundable.
  • If you cancel the project before a milestone is delivered, we will refund the pro-rata portion of that milestone payment corresponding to incomplete work, minus any reasonable costs incurred.
  • If Unyrise Technologies fails to deliver a milestone within the agreed timeframe (excluding delays caused by the client), you may request a partial refund proportional to the delay.

Quality Issues

If delivered work does not meet the specifications documented in the agreed Statement of Work (SOW), we will make reasonable efforts to rectify the issue at no additional cost. If we are unable to resolve the issue after two revision attempts, a partial refund may be considered at our discretion.

3. SaaS Products (Hostel Ease & Future Products)

Free Trial & Beta Access

Where we offer a free trial or beta access period, no payment is collected and therefore no refund is applicable.

Paid Subscriptions

  • 7-Day Money-Back Guarantee: If you are not satisfied with a paid plan within the first 7 days of your initial subscription, you may request a full refund. This applies to first-time subscribers only.
  • No Partial Refunds: After the 7-day window, we do not provide prorated refunds for unused portions of a billing period.
  • Annual Plans: Annual plan payments are non-refundable after 30 days from the payment date.
  • Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period, and you will continue to have access until that date.

Service Interruptions

If our SaaS platform experiences significant downtime (>99% SLA breach in a given month), we will provide service credits proportional to the outage duration applied to your next billing cycle.

4. Non-Refundable Items

The following are explicitly non-refundable under all circumstances:

  • Initial project deposits and retainer fees.
  • Payments for completed and approved milestones.
  • Third-party costs (domain registrations, cloud hosting, API subscriptions, stock assets) procured on your behalf.
  • Consultation or discovery session fees.
  • Rush fees or priority development charges.

5. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please contact us within the applicable refund window:

  • Email us at legal@unyrisetech.com with the subject line: “Refund Request - [Your Name / Project Name]”
  • Include your invoice number, the reason for the refund request, and any supporting documentation.
  • We will acknowledge your request within 2 business days and aim to resolve it within 10 business days.

6. Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 10-14 business days. Processing times may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.

For international payments, currency conversion differences and bank transfer fees are not refundable by Unyrise Technologies.

7. Disputes

If you are not satisfied with the outcome of a refund request, please escalate by emailing legal@unyrisetech.com. We encourage resolving disputes amicably.

For clients initiating a chargeback via their bank or payment provider without first contacting us, we reserve the right to dispute the chargeback with supporting documentation and to suspend service access pending resolution.
